This hotel offers excellent value for money, with affordable prices for comfortable rooms. The attention to detail is impressive, with a well-appointed kitchen that includes a high-quality toaster, jug, coffee pot, crockery. The rooms are spacious and include basic amenities, such as a spa bath and a king-size double bed in a large bedroom. Additionally, the hotel's location is near enough to just about everything, including a lovely fenced garden area and the beautiful estuary nearby that provides wonderful views from the windows to the outdoor area.
All was great, nothing to improve.

It was quiet.
The one thing I didnt like was the lack of electric blankets for the beds.

My main reasons for choosing Clive Motel were price and location. The price was very reasonable compared with others and the location - a small village halfway between Hastings and Napier was perfect as we wanted to visit both cities. The decor and condition of the room was wonderful for the price. The service was very good and there were nice extra touches like a newspaper in the morning and a good choice of DVDs to borrow for the evening. I've stayed at many budget motels, and this one has to be the best value for money I've found - We'll definately be back.

The motel is situated in a great location between two main cities, which is very convenient for sightseeing. the room was unexpectedly spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee which was a nice touch.
We found the shower stall to be quite small and slippery, which was a bit of an inconvenience. we felt that there was a lack of privacy due to the absence of net curtains.

We stayed at a motel during Christmas. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. We loved the free Wi-Fi and also the heating in the room. The location was great as it was close to restaurants and shops. We also enjoyed taking walks around the area.
On Christmas day, the reception office was closed and there was no one from the staff around. We needed an extra pillow but couldn't ask for it.
